Has your goal been to be an AWESOME Irish dancer in Hard Shoes, but you are ALREADY an ADULT? Well, now is your chance! Adult Hard Shoe Class for Beginners is being offered starting Monday June 1 at 7:30pm at the MCD Studio in Dayton OH!

We are looking for adults that took dance classes as children and want to start again, or those who have never taken a lesson, and even those of you who claim they have 2 left feet, and especially all of you who think "I am to old".

If this sounds like you, then pack up dance bag and let's get started in Irish dance! You will be surprised at the benefits!

Why Should You Dance?

  • Strength Dancing builds muscular strength by using your own body weight as resistance.

  • Endurance Have you watched and Irish dancers? If you want to increase your cardiovascular fitness and endurance levels, get up and get moving to the music. National health experts recommend adults receive 30 to 60 minutes a day of physical exercise. A fun Irish dance class once or twice a week is a fantastic way to fulfill your body's requirement for exercise, while still having fun.

  • Flexibility Participating in the classes will definitely help you to improve upon your flexibility. You will start a class without a physical warm-up that includes stretching exercises. Your head, neck, shoulders, upper back, lower back, upper legs, lower legs and sides will always get a good stretch.

  • Socializing and Making Friends Participating in dance class is a wonderful way to meet new friends. Have I mentioned our Margarita Mondays yet?

Margarita Mondays The first Monday of every month this summer we will be having Mararita Monday! During this class we will do a little group dancing and a bit of socializing with our class members as well as other MCD members. If margaritas aren't your thing, there are other beverages available as well as snacks .

Improved Self-Esteem and Body Image As you concentrate on dancing and learning new dance steps, your self-esteem will gradually rise. Plus, learning new things keeps your mind YOUNG! As you learn graceful new ways for your body to move through space, you will gain a better appreciation and respect for your body, resulting in a healthier body image. *******************************************************************************************

MCD Beginner's Irish Dance Program Starts in June!
We are also VERY excited to offer BEGINNER HARDSHOE FOR ADULTS!

Even if you have never stepped foot into an Irish dance studio you are welcome to this class! Had a bad day at work? Pounding out the rhythm and choreography of a hornpipe will definately clear your head. No special equipment is needed!
