United Irish Dayton Celtic Festival 2015

The United Irish Dayton Celtic Festival is July 24, 25, and 26 - the last full weekend of July every year if you just want to keep it on your calendars!
This is one of our most favorite festivals at McGovern Ceili Dancers School of Traditional Irish Dance and you don't have to spend too much time wondering why, but just in case you are...
GAELIC STORM, SCYTHIAN, SOCKS IN THE FRYING PAN, and WE BANJO 3 are headlining the main stage all week end long! And then of course there are over a dozen REGIONAL ACTS such as Ben-David Warner,

Burning Bridget Cleary, Celtic Font, Changeling, Homeland, Kiana Weber The Miami Valley Pipes and Drums, Rocky Creek, Sons O'Blarney, The Drowsy Lads, The Roving Rogues. And of course, you never want to miss our friends and LOCAL LEGENDS - Father Son & Friends www.fathersonandfriends.com .
Father Son and Friends will be performing: Friday from 6:00 - 6:50 on the WDTN Stage Saturday form 8:20 - 9:20 on the Mid USA Stage Sunday 5:00 - 6:00 on the Mid USA Stage
The McGovern Ceili Dancers will also be quite busy this week end as well with performances, volunteering at the festival, dancing with the band, running the 5k and much
The McGovern Ceili Dancers School of Traditional Irish Dance will be kicking off the weekend's fun with a performance at the Dayton Dragons Plaza in conjunction with our friends from the Dublin Pub www.dubpub.com on Thursday at 6:00

Then at the Dayton Celtic Festival, our performance times are as follows on the Mid USA Credit Union Stage .Friday from 6:50 - 7:20
Saturday from 1:20 - 1:50
Sunday from 12:50 - 1:20
Along with all of the excellent musical choices and dancing you get to experience there are tons of vendors with deliscious food and gorgeous celtic crafts. You should probably check out Maurice Whites booth - Dayton's Celtic Connection for all of your jewelry needs. There is a Whiskey Tasting, a traditional Celtic Breakfast, an Irish Mass, a childrens area and a cultural areal with exhibits and demonstrations. Did I mention this is a FREE festival? That is right this festival, which is one of the best in the region is offered to the public for free! Come out and see us this weekend! We would love to see you!
